SuperEnalotto Jackpots Last Year
SuperEnalotto Odds of Winning
Picking six numbers correctly can make you eligible for jackpot prizes of at least €2 million in Italy’s Superenalotto. The odds may be slightly more challenging than another European lottery, Eurojackpot. However, thanks to multiple draws a week, the jackpot grows quickly, so it’s worth taking a chance.
Furthermore, the game’s incorporation of the SuperStar number adds even more excitement to it. It creates more prize categories and an increase in prize money for certain prize tiers.
The tables below showcase all your opportunities to win.
Standard Superenalotto Odds
The standard game requires you to correctly pick the six standard numbers, from the range 1-90, in order to win the jackpot. During the draw a ‘Jolly’ number is also drawn. This bonus number is only taken into consideration for Tier 2 wins, but because of the prize setup (see below) it can make you considerably rich!
Tier | General Numbers | Jolly Number | Odds of Winning |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 6 | 0 | 1:622,614,630 |
2 | 5 | 1 | 1:103,769,105 |
3 | 5 | 0 | 1:1,250,230 |
4 | 4 | 0 | 1:11,907 |
5 | 3 | 0 | 1:327 |
6 | 2 | 0 | 1:22 |
SuperStar Odds
The SuperStar is a number drawn from a different barrel, also containing balls numbered 1-90. Players pay an additional fee for the benefit of using the SuperStar ball and one of the advantages is that there are additional prize tiers based on this ball.
The odds of winning prizes in the SuperStar section of Superenalotto are more challenging than the standard game. But the prizes make it worth trying your luck.
Tier | General Numbers | Jolly Number | SuperStar | Odds of Winning |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 6 | 0 | 1 | 1:56,035,316,700 |
2 | 5 | 1 | 1 | 1:9,339,219,450 |
3 | 5 | 0 | 1 | 1:112,520,716 |
4 | 4 | 0 | 1 | 1:1,071,626 |
5 | 3 | 0 | 1 | 1:29,404 |
6 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 1:1,936 |
7 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 1:303 |
8 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1:138 |
You have 1 in 90 overall odds of winning any SuperStar prize. Do note that not all online lottery platforms offer the chance of playing the SuperStar number. Familiarise yourself with your platform of choice so you know what to expect.
SuperEnalotto Prize Breakdown
When taking into account the standard game and the SuperStar number, there are therefore 14 prize tiers to win in when playing Italy’s Superenalotto. The game follows pari-mutuel guidelines, where the size of prizes in most tiers are based on:
- How many tickets were sold for a specific draw, which determines the prize pool
- Percentage of the prize pool allocated to each of the prize tiers
- The number of winners in a category, since you’ll share the allocated money with others in your tier
When you also incorporate the SuperStar aspect of the game, it affects different tiers’ prize money in different ways. The table below shows relevant information so you know what you can win in this game:
Tier | General Numbers | Jolly Number | SuperStar | % or prize pool / SuperStar Rule | Average Prize |

Additional advantages of playing Superenalotto include:
- Instant Win: With some vendors you’ll have a 15th option to win and the prize is €25 (ZAR 475). 1 in 500 players are given this prize and it happens when buying your ticket. It’s an option when buying tickets via registered Superanalotto vendors.
- WinBox: This add on game was created in 2021. It doesn’t require additional payment but gives you more chances to win. For example, after buying a ticket on the app, a digital spinning top will be seen. It will reveal whether you’ve won a prize, between €2 and €500, once it stops spinning.
You need to check with your lottery platform if they offer these services.
SuperEnalotto Draw Schedule
Jackpots for Superenalotto grow fairly quickly because there aren’t only two draws a week, as is common in popular lotteries like Mega Millions. Superenalotto offers players three games a week in which they can win. Here’s the week’s schedule, so you know when to play.
Day of the Week | Time in Rome | Time in SA (End March – End Oct) | Time in SA: (End Oct – End March) |
---|---|---|---|
Tuesday | 8 pm CET | Tuesday 8 pm | Tuesday 9 pm |
Thursday | 8 pm CET | Thursday 8 pm | Thursday 9 pm |
Saturday | 8 pm CET | Saturday 8 pm | Saturday 9 pm |
Note the following with regards to Superenalotto draws:
- On occasion the operators add additional draws. It’s worth checking lottery news so you don’t miss out on a chance to win!
- Draw dates can also be rescheduled, for example to avoid draw days to fall on certain holidays. Operators provide clear guidelines about this, so players are always up to date.
- Rome does implement Daylight Savings, so for international players, including South Africans, the draw time will move one hour at certain times of the year.

FAQs
There are three Superenalotto draws each week. They take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Draws happen at 20:00 CET, which is 20:00 in South Africa during certain months, but 21:00 during summer time.
Locals in Italy can request immediate payment of smaller amounts at registered retailers or offices but the operator’s published rules state that prizes below €1 million are paid within 30 days. So, check with retailers how quick your money will be available. Any amount larger than €1 million will only be received 91 days from the day of the draw.
Online players should see winnings in their players accounts soon after the draw. When requesting a withdrawal to your personal account, you may need to wait a few days while the approval process is followed.
When playing with an official Superenalotto ticket, you have 90 days from the draw to claim prizes. After this 3-month period the ticket will be invalid.
Yes, Superenalotto allows the roll over of jackpots, which means the main prize increases every time it’s not won. In this game there’s also no jackpot cap or a limit to how many times the jackpot can roll over. This is one of the reasons why substantial jackpots, even more than €300 million have been reached.
With odds of 1 in 622 million, it’s not the easiest task to win Superenalotto’s jackpot. However, with many of the other prize tiers your chances become much more likely of walking away with some money. Also, the SuperStar feature can boost your prize money substantially! Players in search of an easier jackpot to win can consider the US Powerball or the SA Powerball, both of which have better odds than Italy’s Superenalotto.
